DEM (DEM Extraction Module) – the module for DEM generation using stereoscopic imagery.
The DEM module allows the users to generate high-accuracy digital elevation (terrain) models on the basis of stereoscopic images acquired from QuickBird, IKONOS, OrbView-3, Cartosat-2, SPOT 1-5, TERRA (ASTER) and other sensors for orthorectification, topographical analysis, geological and geomorphological studies, 3D visualization of images, generation of vector maps.
The module includes an easy-to-use wizard which guides the user through the process of high-accuracy DEM generation, including the following sequence of operations: select the stereoscopic images and ground control points, generate the epipolar images, select parameters for the DEM to be generated and generate it. The DEM includes a suite of tools which enables, if required, online correction of the digital elevation (terrain) matrix, measurements of point coordinates, generation of 3D vector objects.
